- At “Would you like to receive notifications for login from new devices?”, click “Yes”
- Click “Submit” button. Done.
Register your computer
Now, you have set the security setting but you need to register your home computer so that Facebook know you are logging in from authorized computer.
- Log out Facebook
- Log in Facebook
- You will be asked to register your computer. Enter a name for your computer.
- If you are NOT logging in from a public computer, tick the checkbox of “Don’t ask me again from this computer” to prevent Facebook ask again.
- Click “Save” and you are done.
While it cannot prevent hackers to access your account, the Facebook account security is useful to alert you. It works on both computer and mobile access.
